Abstract
Inquiry is activity where students find information, design and conduct he experiment, analyze data, make conclusion as well ad communicate the finding. The study aims to profile students^ inquiry skill by using web based inquiry learning (WIBL) that can be use as an alternative of online learning. The study involved 29 students in private school that use Cambridge Curriculum. The sample was taken purposively for the class where students are get used to using IT in their learning. The study employ descriptive method to describe the profile of students^ inquiry skills consisted of: posing question, make hypothesis, plant the experiments and make conclusion. The result of the study in average students gain high interpretation in research question formulation, hypothesis formulation, planning the experiment, analysing data and making concluions. This indicate WIBL suports students inquiry by providing direction of inquiring steps that allow students to follow the inquiry procedures. WBIL create a student-centered activity involving the technology which facilitate student do the inquiry during the online learning process. The study suggest that WBIL can be use as an alternative media to conduct the online inquiry-based learning, including during the pandemic COVID-19.
