Abstract

The research aims to determine the perception of distance education students towards asynchronous learning during the pandemic and how to solve the problems. This study uses a survey research design to obtain initial data for development of asynchronous collaborative learning. The findings indicate asynchronous online learning strategy is suitable for distance education students in the physics education program who are in-service students. Other findings indicate that students still have problems with interactions made during learning, both with tutors or lecturers and with other students related to the material given. This is a challenge in designing how collaborative learning is during a pandemic.
