Development of Basic Chemistry II Teaching Materials Oriented to Chemical Literacy

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the appearance of Basic Chemistry II Teaching Materials Oriented to Chemical Literacy. The methods used in this research were research and development, with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Display of teaching materials included lecture rules, Materials for Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions, Acid-base Equilibrium, Acidity Level of Solution, Solubility and Solubility Products, Voltaic Cells, Electrolysis and Colloids. Each chapter is equipped with experimental procedures, application of material in daily life and Islamic values. The results of the validation test conducted on four validators and declared valid, while the feasibility test was carried out on a limited basis to 31 students by obtaining an average percentage of 8 0.1 2 % indicating that this teaching material was very suitable to be used as Basic Chemistry II Teaching Materials Oriented to Chemical Literacy.
