Abstract
This work aimed to develop a power point prototype that should accommodate at least experiment video segments of proving targeted hypotheses as the main aspect to optimize student engagement in computer based inquiry learning. This development of product with dominantly having learning media characteristics followed Luther^s media development model which consisted of five stages, namely (1) concept of integrated video segments that effectively visualize hypothesis proving experiments in online learning, (2) designing online scientifically active learning via inductive reasoning especially to help majority students with less adequate of scientific skills and/or relatively poor prerequisite scientific conceptions, (3) collecting material, (4) video assembly considering about five minute duration of optimal time video watching, and (5) distributing product for online learning. A prototype of chemistry scientifically learning power point in Indonesian language has been successfully developed and implemented on acid-base solution topic with strong support facilitation of scientifically student learning worksheets and video segments of hypothesis proving. The worksheets based learning activities begun with listing out back ground information of targeted scientifically learning objects obtained from short introduction paragraph/s of background phenomena, then questioning to arrive at investigative questions, formulating hypotheses, designing of hypothesis proving, collecting data, data analysis, and confirming the hypotheses validity of the targeted scientific conceptions as conclusion of the scientifically learning. Good validity of this resulted product was given respectively by content and media experts with support of very good appreciation given by a chemistry teacher and students of a secondary school.
