Development of Energy Themed Mobile Learning: Limited Student Trial Test and Expert Judgment Result to Measure Readability and Feasibility of Teaching Learning Material

Abstract

Before being tested or implemented in schools, this study will examine the viability of mobile learning-based teaching materials with the theme of energy crisis to train students^ energy literacy and creative problem-solving skills. These teaching materials were created using the ADDIE model, and during the development process, subject experts were consulted to assess the feasibility of teaching materials in science content, media/IT experts were consulted to assess the feasibility of the developed mobile learning, and limited student trials were conducted to assess the readability and understandability of the teaching materials. Subject specialists^ judgment results show an average percentage of 88 percent, which falls into the ^extremely practical^ category. The findings of IT/media experts^ judgments suggest an average feasibility of 90 percent, which falls into the extremely feasible group. While the limited trial revealed that 27 discourses in the instructional materials had an average readability of 79 percent, which was classified as high. Before being tested in schools, this mobile learning-based instructional material will be revised based on expert recommendations and the results of a limited trial.
