Abstract
Metacognition is one of the abilities that can support the success of a student in solving learning problems, including in learning mathematics. Metacognition and problem solving have a strong relationship. Metacognition as knowledge of one^s cognition becomes a student^s support in solving mathematical problems. But unfortunately not all students are facilitated in learning how to use their metacognitive abilities to solve math problems, one of them is students in non-formal schools or in Indonesia known as the equivalence program. Therefore, the researchers wanted to see how the metacognitive abilities of students in these non-formal schools in solving mathematical problems in the modules they learned during the learning process. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with research instruments consisting of problem-solving questions contained in the equivalence program e-module, interviews and also a metacognition questionnaire.
