Abstract
This study aims to analyze previous published studies so as to obtain a summary of the success of Problem-Based Learning research on critical thinking skills in learning mathematics. This research uses experimental research with meta-analysis techniques. The meta-analysis steps include, (1) Determining and studying the research topic to be carried out, (2) Finding and collecting several sources with certain topics and selecting them. Literature search can be done manually or through internet sources or websites, (3) Calculating how big the impact is with certain models in the meta-analysis and testing hypotheses on the impact, (4) Identifying whether there are differences in the impact on the subject, (5) Draw conclusions and interpret the results of the meta-analysis research. The results of this study indicate that the Problem-Based Learning model can improve students^ critical thinking processes in learning mathematics. These results can be seen from the results of the pretest and posttest with an average of 0.15% included in the Week Effect category.
