Abstract

Attitudes, processes, products, and applications are all important aspects of science learning. There are numerous ways that may be employed in the process aspect, such as science process skills that can be used to uncover and build an idea in solving an issue that students are facing. Pollution of Lake Toba is one of the outstanding environmental issues in the Samosir Regency area. Students can be introduced to environmental issues by presenting them in the form of teaching materials in the form of modules that serve as a guide for students in class. The goal of this research is to create a science process skills-based module that investigates the local challenges of Lake Toba in order to help students understand about environmental change.
This research employed a quantitative approach. According to Branch, R. (2009), product development employs a research development technique known as the ADDIE model. This study took place throughout the academic year 2021-2022, from November 2021 to May 2022. Three material experts and two media specialists each validated the module that was designed. The average score was 86.25 percent based on the validation results acquired from the expert assessment of the module material, indicating that it is very feasible. While the overall findings of graphic validation by media experts achieved an average score of 88.75 percent, the module received a very good rating. A readability test was conducted on the modules that were evaluated on students at SMA N 1 Pangururan, in addition to material and graphic validation. The produced modules fall into the category of high readability, with an average of 72.22 percent, according to the text readability calculation.
