Development of Learning Media Based on E-Comic Assisted by Instagram in Virus Material Sinta Khairunnisa, Meti Maspupah, Idad Suhada

Abstract
Learning media is important in the teaching and learning process. The results of the
preliminary study, which was conducted to a Biology teacher and students of X MIPA 2, shows
that WhatsApp is the most regularly used learning media. This is considered to be less effective,
resulting in the learning becomes not optimal. During pandemic times, one of learning media
which could be used is e-comic. This could be accessed through Instagram. Thus, this study
aims to describe the characteristics, development, and feasibility of Instagram-assisted ecomic learning media in virus material.
The development model used is 4-D, but only limited to the third stage, that is 3-
D: define , design , and develop. This development research was carried out at SMAN 24
Bandung. The research subjects consisted of three expert validators and 18 students of class X
MIPA 2.
The results showed that the characteristics of the e-comic learning media developed
included pictorial stories with the background of adventures in viral lands and daily life. The
results of the validation with the revision process based on the advice of material experts show
that this learning media is very valid with a combined score of 89.80% and the results of the
questionnaire of product trial respondents to the students get a very good category of feasibility
values with a score of 4.4.
