Abstract

The first section of this study examined the problem of STEM education lacking clearly defined fields, unlike discipline-based education such as science education. Understanding the status and trajectory of STEM education research will help overcome the complexity and ambiguity of different STEM and STEM education perspectives. Furthermore, this study contends that stereotypes about STEMist can be minimized by presenting information about the career options of STEM professionals using several faces connected to learners as role models. It allows learners to recognize their potential in studying the field and how they view themselves and connect toward STEM learning. Likewise, by exposing students to various professions through multimedia learning, the distance between role models and learners may be closed, thereby appealing to their interests, and encouraging them to pursue those careers.
