Abstract

Abstract. The polymer was originally due to its effectiveness as an insulator. Then with the latest characteristics referring to electroconductivity which led to the development of polymer subdomain chemistry, conductive polymers were found. Some types of polymers have electrical conductivity that is similar to the electrical conductivity of metal compounds. This study aims to obtain a concept map and Teaching Learning Sequence (TLS) from scientists^ conceptions related to the topic of conductive polymers. The method used is qualitative content analysis (type of literature analysis) which begins with collecting literature in the form of textbooks, review articles, and research articles. The results of this study contained 2 sequences of learning materials, that is conductive polymers and chemical bonding. The topic of conductive polymer is a contextual learning that can integrate chemical concepts learned by high school students. The results of the concept map and Teaching Learning Sequence (TLS) in learning are expected to be used as the basis for preparing teaching materials and didactic designs that are able to support continuing education.

Keywords: Conductive Polymer, Chemical Bonding, Teaching Learning Sequence (TLS), didactic design.

Topic: ESD in Science Education
