Abstract

Physics learning requires physics literacy for developing students to be involved in physics issues and ideas as reflective citizens. However, the physics test instruments utilized in the classroom are generally not oriented to physics literacy. Thus, instrument is developed to measure students physics literacy skills. The research aims to develop and to analyze the feasibility of OIPLT (optical instruments physics literacy test). This research method utilize the ADDIE research design created by Dick and Carry (1996). This research was conducted in a school in West Java with subjects consisting of 61 students selected by random sampling. The results show that the OIPLT is valid and reliable in the excellent category. It can be concluded that OPILT is suitable for measuring students physics literacy on optical instruments
