Abstract
The purpose of this research is to produce practical mathematical modeling problems/tasks using the context of Water faucet damage for learning mathematics. This study used development research that produced mathematical modeling task using Water faucet damage that was practical for learning mathematics. The approach in this research was Design Research, i.e development studies type which consist of preliminary, prototyping, and assesssment. The assessment used in prototyping phase was formatif study, including self-evaluation phase, expert review phase and one-to-one phase, small group and field test. In this article, the result discussion is on small group phase. Data collected was done by doccumented and interview. Based on the result of data analysis, researcher can be concluded that this research has produced mathematical modeling tasks using Water faucet damage context for learning mathematics at development phase which was practical for learning mathematics
