This study collected quantitative data on the sports industry in the Yangtze River delta from 2014 to 2019.
The empirical results indicate that: (1) there are regional differences in the competitiveness of sports industry in the Yangtze River delta region- (2) sports industry in the Yangtze River delta region lacks scale efficiency and has improper input-output ratio- (3) the phenomenon of diminishing returns to scale appears in Jiangsu Province- (4) the output elasticity of labor factors is high, however the output elasticity of fixed assets remains at a low level.
