Abstract
Child-Friendly Schools are one indicator of Child-Friendly Cities. The Child-Friendly School Program is expected to encourage the development of a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable teaching and learning process so that students will not approach or be involved in activities that smell of violence. One of the most important levels of education in implementing Child-Friendly Schools is Junior High School(SMP). This is related to the age of pre-adolescent children (10-14 years old). The pre-adolescent phase is a crucial period. This pre-adolescent experience will determine the child^s personality in adulthood. One of the six important components of a child-friendly school is facilities and infrastructure. Facilities and infrastructure in child-friendly schools play an important role because they ensure school buildings and facilities are safe, comfortable, healthy, and enjoyable for students. Tanah Sareal Sub-district, Bogor City has 4 Public Junior High Schools (SMPN), namely SMPN 5, SMPN 8, SMPN 12, and SMPN 16. In this case, SMP 5 is the only one Child-Friendly School that has been legalized in Bogor City. Based on this, the research aims to assess Public Junior High Schools (SMPN) in Tanah Sareal Sub-district as Child-Friendly Schools based on indicators of facilities and infrastructure. The method of analysis is quantitative using descriptive statistics on 5 components consisting of 56 indicators of facilities and infrastructure Child-Friendly School Standards. The results show that not all SMPNs in Tanah Sareal Sub-district have indicators of facilities and infrastructure that comply with the Child-Friendly School Standards. The level of achievement of facilities and infrastructure child-friendly school standards for SMPN is 98.21%, SMP 8 is 89.28%, SMPN 12 is 82.14%, and SMPN 16 is 80.36%. Facilities and infrastructure components that do not meet the standards for all schools are the absence of bathrooms for persons with disabilities. In the future, it is still necessary to improve the quality of facilities and infrastructure to achieve child-friendly school standards.
