Abstract
Illegal waste disposal sites have become a threat to human health and are widely considered to be one of the biggest sources of environmental damage. In Indonesia, the government has made various policies to reduce waste. However, individuals may still dispose of waste improperly, even if such a policy has been implemented. This research was conducted at several illegal waste disposal sites and using accidental sampling method for field survey questioner. This research uses extended theory planned behavior and general deterrence theory to identify which factors primarily impact illegal waste dumping practices. Data from a representative sample of respondents was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings in this research, therefore, provide directions for the government in formulating policies to fight against illegal dumping.
