Abstract

Education can change the quality of life of a person, people, or nation. If the quality of education in a society is high, then poverty can be reduced. Likewise, the number of cases of hunger, malnutrition, can be eliminated with high human resources, namely through changes in education. This is in accordance with one of the goals of ESD, which wants the advancement of education to improve the quality of life of people in sustainable development. The super quality of education cannot just stand without any changes in curriculum, media, and education methods. In addition to the above, it turns out that the decline in the quality of education itself can be caused by the lack of interest in learning of Indonesian students. Therefore, in this research we try to popularize the concept of gamification as a fun learning media for students. So that there is no longer a word difficult or lazy to learn when they do the learning process. This research is our preliminary research which aims to find out how far the popularity of gamification on digestive system material in class VIII and how to develop existing gamification models to be more effective and efficient in schools.
