The development of a low carbon e-book on the material has been completed for the purpose of increasing sustainability literacy. The e-book then was used in learning science and its effectivity to enhance the sustainability literacy has been studied using the pre-experimental method with a pre-posttest design, involving 40 grade 7 students of a secondary school at West Java-Indonesia, as research subjects. The results of the study show that the developed e-book meets the eligibility of the book in terms of content, presentation techniques, grammar, graphics, and ease of operation (the CVR index is 0,99 eligible categories, the index CVI is appropriate categories). In addition, the book which is presented with various examples of low carbon education is made great interest to students because the illustrations displayed according to students are fun and the features displayed are updated according to the character of students who are familiar with the world of IT.
