Abstract
The purpose study is to determine the effect of video-based training to improve the performance of football assistant referee. This study used an experimental method to 54 assistant referees who were divided into experimental and control groups. Based on the results of the data analysis shows that the application of video-based training has an influence on improving the performance of assistant referees. The influence is caused during using video-based training the assistant referees can analyze various mistakes he made every time he led a football match. This study can be a reference for instructors in referee education and assistant referees to be used as a variation in the training process using video technology.
