Abstract
Ethnobotany-based local wisdom of Orang Rimba in the Jambi Province can be linked to learning materials on biodiversity. The Orang Rimba lived in the location of The Twelve Hills National Park in the Sarolangun. There were various kinds of plants that were used by Orang Rimba. This study aimed to analyze the use of plant species by the Orang Rimba as biological learning materials. The method used this study was descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were traditional leaders and the people of Orang Rimba. The instrument used by researchers in the form of interview guidelines and observational field notes. The results of the study can be in the form of facts in the field that can be used as biological learning materials, especially biodiversity materials. The Orang Rimba used plants in the forest as food, traditional medicine, handicrafts, household equipment, and traditional rituals. The activities of Orang Rimba used plants as local wisdom and effort to protect the environment.
