Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of predict observe explain (POE) learning models toward creative thinking ability of students in class VII on the theme water in life in Junior High School 14 Serang city. The research used a quasy experiment method and data collection technique used is purposive sampling. The research design used is nonequivalent control group design. The instrument used was a creative thinking test, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet. There are the differences of pretest and posttest score with an average pretest score of the control class 53 and the experiment class of 57, then increased to 69 for the posttest mean value of the control class and for the posttest mean value of the experiment class is higher than the posttest value of the control class that is 74. This can be proven by an increase in the fluency aspect of 82%, aspects of flexibility 69%, aspects of originality 68% and aspects of elaboration 75% . The results of the t test obtained an a value of 0,036<0,05. So it can be concluded that the predict observe explain (POE) learning model influences the creative thinking ability of class VII students of Junior High School 14 Serang city.
