Abstract
This study aimed to determine the profile of the students mastery of the concepts on energy before and after the implementation of the Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-and Create (RADEC) learning model. The method used was a pre-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest. There were 20 research participants consisting of 13 students from an elementary school in Ciamis, 5 students from an elementary school in Bandung, and 2 students from an elementary school in Tasikmalaya. The learning process was carried out virtually through Google classroom. The test instrument used was a four-tier test made of a Google Form. Further, the data processing was done quantitatively. The results showed that the concept of the students before learning RADEC was at the level of misconception amounted to 36.7% and the students who had not reached scientific concepts amounted to 46.6%. Moreover, 83.3% of the students reached scientific concepts after the RADEC learning model was implemented.
