Abstract
Environmental education plays an important role in promoting education for sustainable development (ESD) in schools. Environmental education is not always a stand-alone subject, but it has also been integrated into other subjects. This study aims to analyze the implementation of environmental education in building students^ knowledge and attitudes following the ESD curriculum framework. This study employed a descriptive method. Thus, the data were collected through observation, questions about ESD knowledge, questionnaires, documentation studies, and interviews. The obtained data were then analyzed through a t-test through prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity. 60 students from grade X were involved as the participants of this study. The findings showed that students^ knowledge of ESD in SMKN A had an average of 37.80 with an attitude of 82.53% while in SMKN B the students had average knowledge of 60.80 and an attitude of 69.07%- T test analysis indicates that students^ knowledge and attitudes < 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected. Therefore, there was a significant difference between students^ knowledge and attitudes at SMKN A that integrates SDGs in environmental education subjects and students at SMKN B which integrates SDGs in other subjects.
