Dear Ms. Yovika Sukma,
Thank you for asking an interesting question,
Since we know that STEM integrating 4 fields of knowledge, teachers have to
master these following:
1. Teachers must capable and master their scope of knowledge, for example
mastering Math for Math teachers and mastering Science for Science teachers.
2. Teachers must have a good pedagogical content knowledge, they know how to
teach effectively and encourage students to be motivated in learning.
3. Mastering technology and simple engineering process.
For some occasion that conducting STEM project, teachers also can involve other
teachers or even other professionals, for example in using technology and
engineering during STEM project. Teachers can work collaboratively to implement
and to assess the result of STEM project that student carry out. However,
sometimes STEM project also can implement as the integrating of two or three
scope of knowledge that mentioned in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Mathematics)
Dear Mr. Rendi Restiana Sukardi,
Thank you for your interesting question,
Here I am trying to answer your question about suitable learning model in
implementing STEM.
Well, because STEM combining several lesson material in one project, one of the
most appropriate learning models that can be used in implementing STEM is
Project-based learning (PjBL). This answer reinforced by several previous
researches. Here I specify several researches that used PjBL in implementing
STEM.

science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in a project-based
learning (PjBL) environment. International Journal of Technology and Design
Education, 23(1), 87-102. Based on this research, combining PjBL with STEM can
increase effectiveness, generate meaningful learning. Students also show positive
attidtude towards combining PjBL with STEM.
Thank you.
