Dear Ms Ivana, i^m interested with your research. My question are: can you
describe the method of your research? how do you use ^dadiah^ as a local
potential-based biology learning resources? do you ask the student to produce the
dadiah or you used the dadiah as a learning sources?
Replies:
Dear Ms. Afridha
Thanks for your question, the method in this study is weak experiment, we only use one class without any control class, because the goal is to see the effect of using learning resources to improve students^ science process skills. This research is a continuation after the development of learning resources. Pretest is given to students before learning to use this learning resource. After that, students are tested using pretest questions. During the learning process students are guided by student worksheets. it is also for assessing student skills.
dadiah as a local potential studied on biotechnology materials. The Learning using this learning resources carried out three times a meeting. We ask the student to produce the dadiah. The first meeting, students learn biotechnology material in the class. The second meeting, students were asked to produce the dadiah, and then, at the third meeting, students doing organoleptic tests and then observe bacteria on dadiah.
I hope you can understand and be satisfied with my answers. Thank you
Dear ivo, thanks for your question
I am choose the weak experiment design bacause only use one class without any control class, because the purpose is to see the effect of using learning resources to improve students^ science process skills. The study was conducted by giving a pre-test, learning process, after that giving a post test. Another consideration is that this research is part of a series of stages in the development of learning resources, it is implementation.
I hope you can understand and be satisfied with my answers.
Dear Ms. Ivana. I see your presentation and I^m interesting about your research.
So, I wanna ask you. In your research, you use Dadiah as a local potential to
assess student^s science process skill, as we know, there are so many local
potentials in Indonesia. So, how we can assess a student^s science process skill for
another local potential? Or you have a standard assessment for student^s science
process skills for local potential? The last question is, why you only use pretest and
posttest as a result? It^s mean you just using one class. What your consideration
for that? Thank you.

Dear Ms. Haifa,
thank you for your question, this is my answer:
Dadiah as a local potential is used a learning resources to improve students science process skills. The learning resources consisted of lesson plan, students^ worksheet, supplementary material, and science process skills test. All of that was developed using local potential topic, because produce of dadiah uses conventional biotechnology principles. So local potential didnt to assess students skill.
The science process skills test developed with the types of skills indicator by Rustaman (2003). The test is multiple choice and essay questions about dadiah.
Students worksheet are used as a guide in doing practical activities. It is also used to assess student skills because all components in worksheet are designed to train the skill. for example, the part of tools and materials, student must be answer the question ^What is the function of the tool or material? how to use? why you have to use the tool or material?^. We hope with this design the worksheet can be improve students science process skills.
The last, for your question about analysis of result- i am use the result pretest and post test for N-gain analysis. N-gain analysis to see the students^ science process skills improvement. Consideration just using one class without any control class, because the purpose is to see the effect of using learning resources to improve students^ science process skills and then this research is part of a series of stages in the development of learning resources, it is implementation.
I hope this answer is easy to understand and you are satisfied with my answer, thank you
