plants and the type of soil which can be used the experiment ?

the type of plant:

Experiment 1: The type of plant is herbal plant, small in size, about 10 cm, like a leaf flower plant.

Experiment 2: same like experiment 1, but the number, size and type of plants in both eco dome are the same.

the type of soil:
both experiments used topsoil
