Dear Mr. Rendi Restiana Sukardi,
Thank you for your interesting question,
Here I am trying to answer your question about suitable learning model in
implementing STEM.
Well, because STEM combining several lesson material in one project, one of the
most appropriate learning models that can be used in implementing STEM is
Project-based learning (PjBL). This answer reinforced by several previous
researches. Here I specify several researches that used PjBL in implementing
STEM.
1. Ardiansyah, R., Diella, D., & Suhendi, H. Y. (2020). Pelatihan Pengembangan
Perangkat Pembelajaran Abad 21 Dengan Model Pembelajaran Project Based
Learning Berbasis STEM Bagi Guru IPA. Publikasi Pendidikan, 10(1), 31-36.
2. Prabaningrum, D., & Waluya, S. B. (2020, June). The Improvement of
Mathematical Communication Skill Through Project Based Learning with STEM
Strategy. In International Conference on Science and Education and Technology
(ISET 2019) (pp. 646-651). Atlantis Press.
3. Tseng, K. H., Chang, C. C., Lou, S. J., & Chen, W. P. (2013). Attitudes towards
science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in a project-based
learning (PjBL) environment. International Journal of Technology and Design
Education, 23(1), 87-102. Based on this research, combining PjBL with STEM can
increase effectiveness, generate meaningful learning. Students also show positive
attidtude towards combining PjBL with STEM.
Thank you.
