Abstract
This paper is the result of research that aims to determine the influence of teacher competence (pedagogic, personality, social, and professional) on students^ higher order thinking skills ability. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational method. The sample of this study was a secondary school mathematics teacher in Cimahi. The research data was obtained by using a questionnaire in the form of a semantic differential scale. Data analysis was performed using path analysis. The results of the study show that three of four teacher competence have a significant influence on students^ higher order thinking skills ability.
