Abstract

Driving License (SIM) has become an essential factor in traffic, is also one of the requirements that must be possessed by motorcyclists. In obtaining a Driving License is not as easy as it seems, not a few people who fail in making a Driving License. The reasons also vary, and most frequently found is due to the difficulty of the field for the practice test and lack of ignorance in completing each of the existing tests. Apart from these problems, there needs to be a solution, such as a learning medium for people who often fail or even for those who first want to make a Driving License (SIM). The development method used is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) system. The mechanism of this research is based on the steps in the Multimedia Development Life Cycle, such as concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and finally, distribution. The results of this article are in the form of a simulation design of a motor vehicle driving license that can be used on an android smartphone. Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science and Technology Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University Bandung

Abstract
SSO (Single Sign-On) is an authentication service that allows users to use a set of credential data to access multiple applications. SSO can be implemented by using many protocols, one of which is SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language). SAML is a framework or open message delivery standard that allows identity and security information to be shared with each entity. The data is shared by sending it over a network which allows someone who is not responsible to capture the data. And if the security data from this SSO has been obtained it will have fatal consequences considering that the data can be used to access all applications in the SSO entity. Then we need a reliable data security method so that it is not easy to read by an attacker even with a dictonary attack technique. In this study data security is performed using the RC4 algorithm (Rivest Cipher 4), and it is expected to secure credential data that is exchanged within the SSO entity.

Electrical Engineering Department, State University of Gorontalo

Abstract

Along with the development of information and communication technology, assessment of student learning outcomes is no longer carried out in the form of written examinations, but rather carried out with a Computerized Adaptive Test (CAT). CAT consists of five main components, namely item bank, starting point, item selection, grading, and item completion point. CAT is adaptive because it allows the items given are selected according to the ability of students. Therefore, the CAT needs a method to estimate student ability. This research aims to design a Sugeno Fuzzy Inference System (SFIS) to estimate student ability. This fuzzy system consists of twelve IF-THEN rules, with four inputs, namely the students answer, the probability of students being able to answer correctly, the level of difficulty and discrimination of the questions. The output is an estimated ability, divided into five levels, namely very low, low, average, great, and excellent. Fuzzy system simulation is performed on linear algebra course with multiple-choice questions. The test will stop if the estimated value of the students ability does not change from the previous item. The simulation results show that the SFIS can estimate the ability of students by working on a maximum of six items each subject.

Abstract

The data center has become a necessity for institutions that need reliable and high-powered internal computing services. The construction of this data center allows users to have unhindered access to IT infrastructure, applications, and resources. Also, Software Defined Network (SDN) allows network operators and administrators to adjust resources and bandwidth as needed, providing data centers with increased efficiency, flexibility, and durability. Edge Datacenter, in general, can be said as a datacenter with smaller facilities that expand network access to provide cloud computing resources and streaming cached content to local end-users. Because they are positioned closer to the end-users, they can provide faster service with minimal latency thanks to edging caching. So to increase the flexibility and scalability of a datacenter, with various limitations related to location and space that are completely limited, the application of Software Defined Network and Edge Computing is an alternative that needs to be considered.

Complex Systems Research Group, Department of Physics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Indonesia

Abstract

This paper discusses feature extraction from e-nose responses to identify the durability of perfume scents over time. Ten volunteer panelists took part in sensory analysis in relation to the strength of the perfume scent. The sample used was a branded perfume and five artificial perfumes were analyzed. Aroma durability is measured every three hours using an e-nose consisting of eight types of gas sensors, namely TGS 813, TGS 822, TGS 2600, TGS 826, TGS 2611, TGS 2620, TGS 2612, and TGS 2602. Three methods, namely relative amplitude (RA), survey (S), and wavelet decomposition scale 3 (WD) are used for the extraction of sensor response features. Feature analysis is performed to compare the rate of e-nose decay response using the exponential curve fitting method. The experimental results showed that the S and RA features correlated with the level of aroma that was responded by the panelist team. The results of numerical analysis show the decay of the original perfume scent four times faster than the fake perfume.

Abstract

Nowadays, transportation is one of the main needs. A company engaged in public transportation can at least dispatch hundreds to thousands of passengers every day. At certain times the number of passengers is very difficult to predict. There was a time, when the number of passengers occurred a very significant surge. However, there are times when the number of passengers is drastically reduced. This is caused by many factors including time including the holiday season, holidays, and so on. As for other factors such as natural disasters, endemic diseases and others. The number of passengers must be proportional to the number of vehicles that have been prepared. The company must consider the condition of the vehicle and also the physical condition of the driver. The purpose of this study is to conduct passenger forecasting on the coming day using passenger data in the past using Fuzzy Time Series. This model has the accuracy or the difference between predictions with real data using MAD and MAPE that is equal to 34.6%.

Abstract

Broiler is a chicken that is able to grow fast so that it can produce meat in a relatively short time. In modern times broiler farms have entered the industrial scale. Poultry in this case broiler chickens breathe by inhaling oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide gas and water. In this case, if the oxygen content in the cage is too low, this condition is related to the temperature and humidity of the cage, it will affect the production and health of the chicken. Chicken manure contains toxic gases, namely ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane. For the growth of broiler chickens there are several environmental effects including carbon dioxide so it needs to monotize during growth. The method is used with microcontroller equipment, CO2 sensors, computers. Carbon dioxide monitoring results of as much as 500 ppm for 1 month broiler chicken growth.

PLN Research Institute

Abstract

The significant development of plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) is a challenge for distribution networks. The PEV charger is an electronic power device that generates large amounts of power over a period of time to charge EV battery. In addition, the EV on board charger (OBC) also produces harmonics due to the process of converting AC grid voltage to DC voltage. Converter as OBCs main device is a source of harmonics which directly connected to the distribution network. In this study, harmonics from single OBC, multiple OBC and PEV penetration scenario were evaluated and compared with the SPLN standard D5.004-1: 2012. From the study results, THD injected to the distribution network is influenced by the percentage of the base load and PEV penetration. The worst possible condition is occurred under low load conditions while high PEV penetration happens. From the simulation results using the distribution network model especially in residential area, the low base load scenario (10.47%) and the high PEV penetration (90.01%) is generating TDD 6.59% and THDv 2.61%. Therefore it is known that the harmonic effects generated by PEV charging to the distribution network still meet SPLN D5.004-1: 2012.

Abstract

Environmentally friendly and energy-efficient transportation is urgently needed in cities like Jakarta. One method of transportation that is quite widely used is a bicycle, besides being easy to use it is also healthy because it uses human energy to move. But the problem is people tends to not use bicycles because they are feel tired when they have to long distances riding . In this present time many manufacturers offer electric bicycles that have the practicality of a bicycle but are not tiring because of using the help of an electric motor as a driving force.
The disadvantage of an electric bicycle is the distance that it cannot be far and the charging time is quite long, so that sometimes it still requires energy from humans to pedal the bicycle when the electrical energy in the battery is exhausted. So it need a system that can refill the electric bicycles battery while it is being used. This research will design a system that will regenerate the wheels rotation of a bicycle into electrical energy, especially when it is moving and using human energy. By using a 6V DC mini generator mounted on the wheels, and the charging controllers to the battery, when farther the bike rotates, the greater the electrical energy it will generate, so the battery can be re-charged and increase the mileage of the bicycle compared to the built-in battery system.

Abstract

High efficiency electrical equipment usage is an alternative solution to support carbon emission reduction in Indonesia. In this research, new distribution transformer design using amorphous metal core (AMDT) was evaluated by conducting laboratory testing and field installation. According to the laboratory test result, AMDT had 60.91 – 67.35% smaller no-load loss but 0.58 – 9.79% higher load loss compared to national standard requirement (although the load loss value of AMDT was within total losses tolerance). One AMDT sample failed during impulse test which should be followed up further by conducting insulation testing and design evaluation. Since the AMDT sample used 5-legged core design, the weight of the AMDT was heavier than conventional cold rolled grained oriented (CRGO) silicon steel transformer; thus, the construction planning and design should be re-evaluated for AMDT installation. According to total cost calculation based on life cycle approach by using obtained data and related assumptions, it was found that AMDT would potentially give higher economic benefit than conventional CRGO silicon steel transformer when the load factor (LF) is below 79% for 100 kVA AMDT, below 78% for 50 kVA AMDT, and below 68% for 25 kVA AMDT.

Abstract

Internet of Think (IoT) is a system that over time the development of technology makes it easy for users to carry out daily activities. Using the principle of the Internet of Think (IoT) making temperature control devices in a room can be more easily done. The room temperature controller is based on the ESP8266 microcontroller by utilizing an internet connection, users can find out the temperature in the room anywhere and anytime by utilizing the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol. This research is intended to make it easier to supervise, control, and manage a job in this case that is for room temperature. In its application, it can be used for broiler chicken coops, server room temperature regulators, or other temperature monitoring required. Monitoring the temperature of a room in real time and not needing to be directly in place is an advantage of this research. The lowest room temperature can be adjusted as you wish or the standard we want. The output from this tool can be in the form of lights, fans, and air conditioners.

Abstract

The lack of electricity supply from PLN due to the remote and far geographical location, Some of the BTS rely on diesel generators as the main power plant. So, the cost of electricity generation in the BTS is very high because of the high cost of transportation of these fuels. Therefore, to make efficient use of diesel fuel requires a renewable energy-based power generation model by utilizing the natural potential around the area.

This study to analyzes the system models hybridization of Photovoltaic System with Palm oil Diesel (POD) to get power plants that have high reliability, low energy costs and low emissions for powering BTS in remote area located at an Sungai Ketupak Village of Ogan Komering Ilir – South Sumatera (Latitude 3o19.9’S and Longitude 105o38.9’E).The Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable Energy (HOMER) has been carried out to obtain an optimal design based on energy cost / Kwh, annual operating costs, the daily loads demand, the NPV cost.

The Sungai Ketupak has an annual Global Horizontal Irradiance (GHI) average of 4.72 kWh / m2 / day which has the potential for PV utilization according to NASA Surface meteorology and the Solar Energy database. The combination PV system and palm oil diesel will provide benefits for telecommunications companies in the savings for fuel generators. This system could also reduce gas emissions from hydrocarbon fuels. Therefore, the join of PV and palm oil diesel systems shows a good prospect of alternative energy for BTS tower energy sources.
