Faculty of Health and Physical Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia

Abstract

Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) are one of the ways that the government has implemented in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia. However, this policy can cause new problems, one of which is physical inactivity. Lack of physical activity is closely related to the spread of non-communicable diseases, which are in fact the highest cause of death in the world and include co-deaths in COVID-19 patients. One of the community groups affected by the PSBB policy is students who have to carry out learning activities at home. As an age group with a transition period, students have a tendency to decrease in physical activity. Therefore, a technology is needed that can help students to keep doing physical activity during a pandemic. Many platforms and technologies are offered to this age group, such as aerobic exercise guides in the form of gymnastics, zumba, yoga, tabata and other similar videos on youtube. However, guidance alone is not enough, because the principle of exercise requires one to know the initial conditions before training so that the training program can effectively improve the physical fitness of students. Therefore, the aim of this research is to create an android application (mobile apps) to measure and provide guidance for independent physical fitness development programs for students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The advantages of this fit student android application are as a guide to measuring physical fitness that can be done by students themselves and based on existing literature. Physical fitness test items guided through this application are health-related fitness, body composition (BMI and fat percentage), cardiorespiratory fitness (PACER test), muscle strength and endurance (push-ups and curl-ups) and flexibility (v- sit and reach)

Abstract

In general, the implementation of sports activities and learning is carried out with an orientation to improve performance, so far there has not been much to reveal the meaning of the values of sports to be the most important thing towards the development of positive sports. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in development and mastery in sports education models with leadership content and without leadership content. To support this research, we used an experimental method on 87 students who were taking Handball games lectures. The results show that there are two things that influence, namely student learning is simulated intentionally, and students learning as usual without being simulated. From these results, we get a 27% difference in the application of the simulated education model. Meanwhile, there is no difference in performance improvement, which means that both have a good effect. Then the development of leadership contributes more than the increase in performance with a difference of 22%. This is because as long as students take part in the learning experience the valuable values of handball learning through a sports education model that is useful for actors, coaches, coaches, and can be applied to sports clubs, and most importantly in educational institutions (primary schools, secondary schools, vocational schools, and colleges).
